Privacy policy

This page explains the site’s current plain-English privacy approach for browser-based classroom tools. It should be reviewed whenever analytics, forms, storage or third-party services change.

What the site is designed to do

Free Classroom Tools is built around browser-based tools that teachers can open quickly without creating accounts for ordinary site use. The aim is to minimise friction and minimise unnecessary data collection.

Some pages may process information that a teacher types into a tool so the page can generate a result. If the implementation of a tool changes to send data to a third-party service, that tool should make the behaviour clear and this policy should be updated to match the actual behaviour.

Core principles

  • Collect as little personal data as possible for normal browsing
  • Keep ordinary classroom use available without mandatory logins
  • Review analytics, storage and third-party integrations regularly
  • Update this page when the technical behaviour of the site changes

Current implementation notes

The site uses Vercel Analytics for aggregated performance and usage reporting. With your permission, it also uses Google Analytics to understand visits, popular tools and general usage trends. Optional Google analytics and advertising storage is denied until you make a choice in the cookie notice, and you can change that choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
