Why use it?

The classroom problem it solves

Teachers rarely get clean data on which routines waste time. This tool lets you manually log what you ran, how long it took and how engaged the class felt. Data stays in localStorage on your device. It does not scrape student phones or generate heatmaps from live tool use.

Good moments to use it

Where class analytics earns its place

  • Keep a personal log of which starters actually worked
  • Compare rough engagement ratings across routines you tried
  • Show a simple activity record in a department meeting

Teacher tip

A small choice that improves it

Treat the scores as professional judgement notes, not scientific measurement. The value is pattern-spotting across your own practice.

In the classroom

Put it into a lesson

A simple routine for making the tool useful rather than distracting.

Example

One way to use it

Example: after a week of different retrieval starters, log each one with minutes and a 1–5 engagement score, then look at which formats earned the highest ratings for the least time.

Class Analytics FAQ

Practical answers about setup, classroom use and what pupils need to do.

Does it track individual students?

No. You enter activity names and ratings yourself. No pupil identities are collected.

Where is the data stored?

Only in your browser’s local storage on that device. Clearing site data removes the log.

Can I export the data?

You can copy or screenshot the summary from your browser. There is no automatic cloud export.
