Set separations for any candidates who need spacing.

  3. 3

Shuffle to randomise the order, then print the plan.

  4. 4

Teaching notes

Randomised seating reduces the chance of prearranged plans and is simple to evidence to an invigilator. Print the plan with candidate names or numbers and pin a copy at the door, so late arrivals can find their seat without interrupting the start of the exam.

Exam hall seating plan FAQ

Can I use candidate numbers instead of names?

Yes. Use the numbers instead of names in the list and the grid displays them exactly as entered.

Can I keep certain candidates apart?

Yes. Add the pairs under separations and the planner will avoid seating them together.

Is the seating random?

You choose. Shuffle for a random arrangement or place candidates by hand.
