Teaching notes

A seating plan is a behaviour tool, not just an admin task. Decide the purpose first — quiet working pairs, mixed attainment talk partners, or a front-row reset — then arrange for that, because a plan that is shuffled without a reason tends to be abandoned by week three.

Primary classroom seating plan FAQ

Can I add or remove pupils?

Yes. Edit the names list in the sidebar and the grid updates straight away.

Can pupils be kept apart?

Yes. Add separations, one pair per line, and the planner avoids placing them together.

Can I print the finished plan?

Yes. The seating plan includes a print view suitable for a folder or supply teacher.
